Tom:
A I just moved in my new house today.
D Moving was hard but I got squared away..
E When bells starting rings and chains rattled loud,
A I knew I'd moved in a haunted house. #2.
A Still I made up my mind to stay.
D Nothing was a-gonna drive me away.
E When I saw something that give me the creeps,
A Had one big eye and two big feet. #3.
A I stood right there and I did the Freeze.
D It did The Stroll right up to me.
E Made a noise with its feet that sounded like a drum.
A Said, "You gonna be here when the morning comes?" #4.
A "Say, yes, I'll be here when the morning comes.
D I'll be right here, I ain't gonna run.
E I bought this house, now I'm boss,
A Ain't no haint's gonna run me off." #5.
A In my kitchen my stove was a blazing hot.
D Coffee was a-boiling in the pot.
E Grease had melted in the pan.
A I had a hunk of meat in my hand. #6.
A From out of space there sat a man,
D On the hot stove with the pots and pans.
E "Say that's hot!" I began to shout.
A He drank the hot coffee right from the spout.
A He ate the raw meat right from my hand.
D Drank the hot grease from the frying pan.
E And said to me "You better run, and don't be here
A When the morning comes." #7.
A "Say, yes, I'll be here when the morning comes.
D I'll be right here, I ain't gonna run.
E I bought this house, now I'm boss,
A Ain't no haint's gonna run me off."
