I have lived through things unknown
I didn�t not think i'd get home
and here I sit in sweet sunshine
and know all things will pass in time...

I grieve for deaths that haven't happened yet
I watch the garden grow
I have my friends (though few and far between)
I have my friends i've lost

I am a tree roots are my feet
I am a cat that fights
we hope one day we will be free
that day is here take flight

I have a friend who walks with me
he is the first one to be free
he likes to laugh and sing and be with me
